A Cone is a Cone is Cone... Curated by C. Whitney-Ward

Ah...an ice cream cone.
I've never learned to eat with chopsticks, and
I've never mastered the art of licking an ice cream cone. It always
gets the best of me -  dripping relentlessly. I remember sitting on a bench with a 7-year old one sunny August afternoon. We had just gotten our cones and  started to lick them at precisely the same moment. But it  soon became apparent that he was born with a special gene, allowing him to finish his cone unscathed. His shirt was spotless; no rivulets of melted ice cream enveloping his pristine cone-holding hand.
I, on the other hand, just couldn't keep up. Not a pretty picture.
So, wherever you are young man, I salute you with this photographic essay
 on snazzy ice cream cones.

My favorite - plain, old vanilla!

Once Upon a Time... Einstein's Dreams

"Einstein's Dreams" is a captivating book written by Alan Lightman, a professor of humanities at MIT. The novel fictionalizes Albert Einstein as he works on his theory of relativity and experiences a series of dreams - each involving a spectrum of time:  standing still; going backwards; repeating...

The following photographs  are a visual ode to this book
and the fascinating concept of time.

What's Inside??? - Curated by C. Whitney-Ward

If you've been following It Caught my Fancy, you know that it's playful. When I saw
some lovely photographs of boxes and satchels and such, I thought it
would be fun to conjure up what was inside. Here goes...

That was easy...

That's what's inside...
